Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market: Where BHC Got Its Start

The Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market is more than just a weekend stop for us. It is where Blue House Coffee Roasters began building what we are today. As one of the first markets we ever joined, this will always be our OG market.

Now located at the Arizona Science Center, the market continues to be a central part of the Phoenix community and a place where local businesses come together every Saturday.

Built at the Markets

Blue House Coffee Roasters started with a simple goal. Serve great coffee and connect with people directly. Showing up week after week at the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market gave us the chance to grow in real time.

There is no shortcut to learning what works. Being at the same market consistently meant we could test, adjust, and improve. We paid attention to what people ordered, how they responded, and what kept them coming back. Over time, that shaped everything from our roasting approach to how we serve coffee today.

What started at Downtown Phoenix has grown into multiple markets across the Valley. Today, you can also find us at the Uptown Phoenix Farmers Market and the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market. Each market has its own energy, but the purpose stays the same. Show up, serve great coffee, and be part of the local community.

Why Supporting Local Matters

Supporting local is about more than just where you spend your money. It is about loyalty, consistency, and community. When the same vendors show up every week, it builds trust. You start to recognize faces, remember orders, and create real connections over time.

Staying committed to the same market has been one of the biggest drivers of our growth. It gave us a consistent place to show up, improve, and build a customer base that grew with us. That consistency turned first time customers into regulars and regulars into supporters of our brand.

For small businesses, growth does not come from doing everything at once. It comes from doing the same things well, over and over again, in front of the same community.

What We Learned About Growing a Business

Being part of the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market taught us a few things that still guide us today:

Consistency matters more than perfection. Showing up every week builds trust faster than trying to get everything right once
Listen to your customers. The best feedback comes from real conversations, not assumptions
Focus on your core product. For us, that meant dialing in our coffee before expanding anything else
Grow where you are planted. Building a strong presence in one place creates a foundation for expansion

These lessons are simple, but they are what helped us grow from one market to multiple locations across Phoenix.

Grateful for the Community That Built Us

Everything we have built started with the people who showed up early, tried our coffee, and kept coming back. The Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market gave us more than a place to sell coffee. It gave us a community.

We are grateful for every customer, every conversation, and every Saturday morning that helped shape Blue House Coffee Roasters into what it is today.

Find Us This Saturday

If you are looking for coffee at Phoenix farmers markets, you will find Blue House Coffee Roasters every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. We serve cold brew on tap, fresh drip coffee, and locally roasted beans to take home.

Whether you stop by Downtown Phoenix, Uptown, or Old Town Scottsdale, grab a coffee, walk the market, and experience the community that helped build us from day one.
