Grower: Dario Delgado
Varietal: Caturra, Typica
Processing: Washed and Sun Dried
Tasting Notes: Well-balanced acidity with a rich body. It starts off sweet and creamy with notes of tart fruit, and finishes with a bittersweet, dark cocoa note.
The Blue House team had the pleasure of meeting Iliana Delgado in October, 2016 while in Colombia. She astounded us not only with her knowledge of coffee growing, but also with her passion as a coffee roaster herself. She is well versed in coffee herself and was granted a scholarship for the Coffee Economics and Science Master offered by illy caffé in Trieste, Italy Her vision for her country and farm is to not only export Colombia’s best coffee, but also to share the fruits of their labor with the citizens of Colombia. She believes that bringing specialty coffee to the people who grow it is essential. Once we tasted this coffee from her Father’s farm, we fell in love with this beautiful acidity and full body. This Colombian coffee is a great morning coffee pairing well with breakfast pastries.
