This extraordinary coffee is the result of a family effort. Sourced from surrounding family-owned farms located in the Takengon coffee region of Aceh province on the island of Sumatra, Irham Junus owns and operates the mill with his son, Andi and daughter, Ina.
Sumatran coffees are often seen as unique due to the way they are processed. "Wet Hulling" removed the parchment and coffee cherry at the same time right after picking. This process often results in a low-acid, heavy bodied coffee that goes great by itself or blended with another coffee in a cold-brew. I kept getting notes of syrupy chocolate when drinking this cold-brew.
